You rate the restaurants!

I rarely interrupt the normal flow of restaurant reviews for a special announcement, but in this case, I felt I must.
I’ve just put up a new rating feature on all posts on the site. This allows you to quickly and easily rate each restaurant on a netflix-esque five-star scale. It also lets you see the average rating for each restaurant based on the input of all our site users.
Of course, this feature is only valuable if we get some ratings going on. So, if you don’t mind, take a moment to browse through the site for all the restaurants you’ve visited before and rate them. Once we get some critical mass in the data, this could be a great tool.
One word of caution: once you cast your vote, there’s no taking it back, so choose carefully!

P.S. I know, I know, the rating thing also shows up on posts like this that aren’t really about restaurants at all. Well, luckily we don’t have many posts like this, but if you want to offer a rating to this beautiful work of prose, please feel free.

Cool. Like the feature. But fair is fair. If you want us to rate the restaurants, you should have to do the same with each review.
Also, you should make it clear to readers that to give a rating you actually have to have eaten there!

I agree, OKPete. I’m looking for a way to provide an author’s rating as well as the user ratings. Hopefully, we will get that up there soon.
