Celebrating 100 reviews: leave a comment, win a gift card

EatAroundOKC.com is closing in on 100 restaurant reviews and that gets us pretty excited. So, to celebrate, we’ve decided to give some fantastic restaurant gift cards away to the people who make it all possible, our readers. After all, if it weren’t for you guys, we’d have no reason to write, so we want to honor you with our 100 review giveaway celebration!
We are very fortunate to have some generous sponsors celebrating with us. I want to say a huge thank you to the following restaurant groups that have donated some substantial gift card prizes for us to give away.
- Deep Fork Group including the Deep Fork Grill (review), Cafe Nova (review), The Mantel, The Wedge Pizzeria (review), and Chica’s Mexican Cafe (review).
- A Good Egg Dining Group including Cheever’s Cafe (review), Iron Starr Urban BBQ (review), or Red Prime Steak (review).
- Irma’s Burger Shack including two Irma’s Burger Shack locations (review).
Let me tell you, these are some seriously great prizes (you can find out more prize specifics on our giveaway page). This is going to be a lot of fun.
So how do I win already?
Ok, here’s how it works. We’re going to give away restaurant gift cards every month from now until we hit 100 restaurant reviews. Right now, we’re at 84 and we average 1-2 per week so we’re looking forward to at least 3 months of prize-winning fun.
To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on any of our reviews. Actually, leave lots of comments because every comment counts as an entry. Leave comments in September to qualify for September’s prizes. Then, leave comments in October to qualify in that month … etc. Each month will be treated independently.
At the end of each month, we’ll draw out some random comments and the authors of those comments will be our winners. Be sure to use a valid email address every time you comment so that we have a way to contact you if you win. I’ll be posting about the winners as they are selected so that you’ll be sure to stay up to speed. To keep up with all of the updates, you might also consider following us on Twitter.

What a great site! We live out in Luther and it is quite a drive from here to the city. VERY disappointing and frustrating to make the drive only to end up at a restaurant with horrible service or terrible food. We will definitely be checking your site regularly from now on! This is good. I really dig the reviews and it is great to find new places to eat. I need a little journal book or a map or something with your recommendations labeled as I drive around looking for good food stuff. Keep up the good works.

….but where are the reviews for seafood restaurants?
I’m looking for good seafood eating, and am having a hard time finding one… I’d love to be able to find a place in OKC similar to Bodean’s in Tulsa. Thanks!

@Aaron, yeah we’ve had some others mention the need for seafood restaurants. I guess so far we haven’t come across any that have gotten our attention enough to write about them. If anyone has some ideas let us know and we’ll try to check them out and write them up.
Of course there is the Pearl’s group, which isn’t bad. There used to be a place called Pelican’s up at Memorial and May or so, but I think they went out of business. We’ll keep our eyes open and you guys let us know if you know of something or find something worth mentioning.

Try the Original Pelican’s restaraunt in Midwest City. Reno and Air Depot, just on the east side of Heritage Park Mall.

I ate in alot of restaraunts traveling across country.. I have to say, the ones in the midwest and there abouts were the best.. Yes, I did eat in Oklahoma.. alot of flat land there and windmills.. but nice peol and good food. Alot better than when I traveled thru lousianna, thats for sure. Texas was great too. Keep making good food and happy travelers. I wish they would have had this review site then~
