Tim, I agree totally! Right Wing or Left Wing who cares? I just want to know how the wings taste!

If I'm going to this place or that place for lunch or dinner who cares? I've been to places that are awesome that are obviously not my religion. I've been to places that don't share my college affiliation. I've been to places where I don't care about immigration laws. All of them have fed me and some (if not most) I am a regular customer.

It's all about the food @ eataroundokc.com. There are plenty of web sites for politics, religion and sports. Let's not spoil the food!

Right Wing Hate Propaganda????? What, does Mike have an American flag on the wall and some pro-military stuff? What!, No shrine with candles dedicated to the "O"ne?

I've never been to this place but I plan to check it out very soon based on Joe's (wasn't that Stalin's first name?) review. I'm all about right wing freedom/anti-socialism propaganda. I bet I won't even get a belly-ache from the food or decorations.

Do yourself a favor and don't trust a review that is based on someone's narrow minded politics. Businesses are private ventures and they have freedom of speech too. Well, until 1/20/2009 they did!

Was not impressed. The meat was dry with little flavor & the onion rings were terrible. My friend & I's stomach both hurt bad after we left. The place was also filled with quite a bit of right wing hate propaganda on the walls which I was quite shocked by. Do yourself a favor & head over to Bunny's onion burgers which are the best in town.

I ate breakfast at Little Mike's 2 (next door) for the last 2 days and I was impressed. I think the prices are reasonable, place is clean and the staff is really sweet. The eggs and hash browns were yummy, and the hash browns weren't all greasy and laden with fat like they are at many other places. I'm looking forward to trying their fried catfish special this Friday. Note: Little Mike's 2 is not open on Mondays - I found that out this week!
Snickerdoodle, I know what you mean about the lack of plenty good veggie places in the area. I don't eat a lot of meat either. Little Mike's offers some good options with their veggie burger & Caesar salad. But if you're in the mood for something different, try the tiny little Gyro place behind Starbucks. I love their hummus and falafel. And Yamato Japanese Steakhouse (just west of Rockwell) has great stir-fried veggies, veggie sushi & miso soup. At least, I think miso soup is vegetarian...might have to look into that one!

Yeah, I'm afraid Oklahoma is meat and taters country and I imagine it has been rather difficult to find good veggie options. I find myself going Italian when I'm in the veggie mood. That always suits my carnivore husband. I'm glad you both enjoyed Little Mike's and the next time you go, order your fries "well done" and they'll be crispy!

Ok, my boyfriend and I went here tonight and it was awesome! He only eats meat when we eat out, and hasn't had a burger in forever, much less a good burger. The woman who greeted and rang up everyone's orders was really friendly, my veggie burger had great texture and flavor, the bf's burger was (by his account) delicious, the pickle bar is a nice touch, and the syrups next to the fountain was awesome. Overall this is a great addition to our restaurant collection. Until now we didn't have many dining options when down in the rockwell shopping area, especially when you factor in my vege tendencies and our distaste for chain restaurants. Basically, it's hard for him to find a great meat meal, *and* for me to find a great vege meal, and both walk away happy without needing to compromise. My only criticism would be the fries not being crispy, but you get so many that it's not too big of a deal.

I did forget the onion rings. :( Next time, though!!

Thanks, Sarah! Being vegetarian this far south has been.....trying, to say the least. Many restaurants (and waitstaff) seem confused on "vegetarian" food and think if it's mostly vegetables, then surely vegetarians can eat it. On more than one occasion I've been assured a dish was vegetarian, only to ask about the broth, sauce, etc.. and be told "Oh, yeah, it's chicken/beef stock." *blink* *blink* Last I checked stock made from animals doesn't fall under the category of "vegetarian-friendly."

Wonderful review! All true. It is a perfect burger. The flavor of the meat and onions is so balanced that my wife and I have given up adding condiments. Beth D is right - the syrup mix is always just right on the sodas and the crushed ice makes it even more perfect. The onion rings are among the best in the city, so don't miss those. It's a great place everyone should visit!

Glad everyone likes the place so far. Snickerdoodle, the veggie burgers are made of soybean and corn - main ingredients - no meat. So yes, it is a viable vegetarian option. They have two selections, but I don't know what the difference is.

Everything said is true. I love Little Mike's mainly for the vanilla, not to mention they have a perfect mix of CO2 and Coca Cola syrup. I love the pickles at the bar too!
