If you are truly looking for "the" fine dining experience in OKC there are several places not on this list... The Metro wine bar and bistro on western or The Coach house just across the street... LaBaguette D'town or on May ave wonderful... Speaking of downtown Red Prime steak is unbeatable period. And The Ranch steakhouse on Britton road is outstanding...

I just tried their new restaurant, Mexicasa and loved it! Finally, OKC has a low-down, comfortable texmex that has divine food. A while back I did a review on Iguana’s - and although I loved the atmosphere (albeit was similar to what large city rest. did in the 90's -now just doing in OKC) the food was SO bland and so processed. Mexicasa has homemade chips and the salsa has just right amount of flavor/cilantro. This new place reminds me of the places I go to, and love, in Denver (Tamayo) and DC (laurel Plaza)- upscale, authentic texmex in a comfortable atmosphere: which I have not found to date in OKC. I really hope people try this place. I think anyone that is used to TexMex in bigger cities, will find this place emulates those places, very well. Again, I am bewildered that Iguana is always so busy when the food is so bland, not home-made tasting, while Mexicasa isn't. Again, if you are used to eating at texmex places in major cities - this is much more like the food those places offer: gourmet, simple flavors in a relaxed atmoshpere. I cannot wait to go back!

UPDATE: Tom and Jerry's on 23rd has been changed to Mexicasa. It's still run by Tom and Jerry but it's a whole new offering with a Mexican flair.

My wife and I love Tom and Jerrys. The food is always wonderful and the service excellent. I always feel comfortable there, like having dinner in a good friends home.

I went to Tom and Jerry's for Valentine's Day. We had a 9:30 reservation and were not seated until after 10pm. They were running behind. It was close to 11pm before our orders were taken and after 11 by the time we were served our first course. We finally got our bread rolls when we were leaving, apparently they ran out. Anyway, I had the filet and I will tell you that it was worth the wait. It was amazing. Also I had the spicy chicken rolls- very good as well.

The food is always excellent. The staff can be a bit sullen and impolite. The last time I ate there it took 45 minutes to get scones (brunch) and another 15 to get our meal.

The scones were the best I've ever tasted.

I enjoy sitting on the patio, drinking a glass of wine and eating tapas. They are great, and for the quality of food, they are priced appropriately (but not cheap)

I love Tom & Jerry's! The Sunday brunch is amazing and is probably my favorite. Dinner options change with the seasons and I recently enjoyed some Chipotle Panko Crusted Mahi Mahi. It was served with plain rice, spinach, and peppers in a fruity sauce. The rice was a rather plain accompaniment, but there were so many other flavors going on that it worked. Service is good. T & J's also has specials (such as half price tapas on Tuesday & Wednesday) and live music on a regular basis to tempt visitors. A true gem on 23rd street!

We had Tom and Jerry's for my birthday in October. I had the Paella. It was lacking. Way over cooked and it was filled with little green peas which were not listed on the menu, the sausage could have been from Hillshire Farms. Everyone else really enjoyed their selections.
Great brunch on Sunday. Outside on the patio is just super.
