Did you eat out on Thanksgiving?

I am curious whether any of you ate out in OKC on Thanksgiving this year, or if you have eaten out on Thanksgiving any other year in Oklahoma City. Please leave us a comment and let us know about your Thanksgiving dining experiences.
As for me, I did not eat out this year. I’ve never eaten out for my main Thanksgiving meal in OKC, but in the past I have been known to sneak in a Braum’s hamburger on Thanksgiving night. Yum.
How about you? Where do you like to eat around OKC on Thanksgiving?

Our church single’s group ate out together at Furr’s on Thanksgiving Day. We ate at the 63rd and May establishment at 4:30 PM and it was a delightful experience. Good food, reasonable price, and no waiting in line.

I may be around 9 months late, but I’m hoping to win a gift card. Anyway, for the second year in a row my family had Thanksgiving dinner at North Fork. They put together quite the buffet with both traditional favorites like turkey and dressing and non traditional treats like salmon.
I’m not sure North Fork is even still open so we will probably go elsewhere this year.

Holley, better late than never! As you can see, we didn’t get much response to this article back when we posted it, so I’m glad you’ve put in your thoughts now. Unfortunately, you are correct about North Fork. I recently got word that they have closed up. Let us know if you find a new Thanksgiving place this year.

Hi All, I am late too…but I am looking for somewhere to eat out this year! I just cannot cook again! I have heard that the Skirvin and the Colcord do really nice thanksgiving meals and also have a dinner option with a high-end price/8-course (similar to a cruise I would imagine) style set up….
Any other ideas? No cooking at our house! We have 23 people coming for Christmas! I need a break!

I am a 60 year old female under going treatment for Cancer and Thanksgiving falls during my Chemo week. This means I can not be around a large or small group of people because chemo causes my white count to go down. Now that the history is out of the way here is my problem. Where can we get a turkey dinner with all the trimmings (only enough to feed four maybe 5) carry out.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

@Verna, I check with our Twitter followers and got a suggestion to check with Boulevard Cafeteria or La Baguette. If you find a good place, please let us know about it.

Verna,
Check with Crest. They had a sign advertising carryout dinners. Also, I don’t know where you live but Marie Callendar’s and Mimi’s both have dinners I believe.
I’m on the prowl for another place for a sit down meal. I have been calling around all morning. I’m not thrilled about paying $30pp.

Ok folks, here is another option:
Crowne Plaza on NW Expressway – formerly the Hilton – is serving Thanksgiving for $12.99 per person.
I just booked our family of 6.

We, our family tried Home town Buffet. Like always, it is best known for quantity, not quality. It worked out fine. All, young and old got just what they wanted, and no mess to clean up.Highly recommend. Have 15-20 arriving Christmas. Sure wish they were open. Looking for a good Christmas evening dinner, any suggestions.

Once again, we’ll be looking for Thanksgiving dinner someplace. Please let me know of good places!

This year, we are experiencing the ‘empty nest’. My husband and I are looking for a nice sidt-down Thanksgiving dinner. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Marilyn, I just heard that Rococo is serving a “grand buffet” on Thanksgiving. Not sure if it’s just the Northpark location, original location, or both. Good option, though. You could call them for details.
Please tell us what you think.
