Why Dhaba ??
Punjabi Dhaba literally means a restaurant owned by a Punjabi (with food cooked by a Punjabi or the owner) from the Punjab region in either India or Pakistan. These are highway-side or road-side restaurants or cafes on all highways and outskirts of cities / towns / villages, initially started by the most enterprising Punjabis to cater to the needs of truckers, who were also initially mostly Punjabis. Dhaba offers wholesome, clean and hot authentic Punjabi food at all odd hours of day or late night according to the rush.
Our restaurant is located inside the 5 Star Travel Plaza on I-35 near 122nd Street. Come see us! We serve a buffet until 4pm!

I love the idea of an Indian restaurant in a truck stop, and was really looking forward to it. We walked in and sat down. The employees of the restaurant stood visiting with people two tables from where we sat. The employees went back to the kitchen. After about fifteen minutes with not so much as an acknowledgement, we walked. Really disappointing.
