First Edition Cafe

We strive to be the best coffee shop and healthy option eatery in the downtown OKC area. Our coffee beans are roasted locally using our own recipes. We have homemade baked goods, soups and dressings all made in-house, and our sandwiches and salads are unique and delicious.
We are located on the first floor of the Downtown Metro Library. Great books, great coffee, and great food!

The First Edition has added some new menu items. They now have a veggie burger (think it’s The Othello) that is really good! I get it on a sprouted wheat bun and have them leave off the avocado – just give me the lettuce, tomato and onion. As above, sandwiches come with either whole piece of fresh fruit (that they will slice) or chips. They also added a new herbed flat bread pizza with garlic infused olive oil, marinated steak, gorgonzola cheese and other things I can’t remember – haven’t tried it yet but plan to do so. I mentioned the wonderful whole wheat cookies above but now Alice has developed a Gluten Free/Dairy Free recipe made with rice flour and lots of nuts. I don’t have any dietary restrictions but this is one yummy cookie that is lighter and healthier than the norm. This is a great place to find delicious and healthy food!
