Most everyone has an opinion about restaurants, and we want you to share yours. There are three ways you can let your voice be heard on our site — leaving comments, rating restaurants, and submitting reviews.

The comments left on our site by readers like you are the most valuable part of EatAroundOKC.com. The more opinions that are shared, the clearer the picture of a restaurant becomes. We encourage your comments and we do not moderate them unless they are hateful, vulgar or in other ways spammy. Please let us know your thoughts even if … no, especially if you disagree with our views. Comments are read by lots of people and are a great way to get your views out on the web. Simply scroll to the bottom of any article to find the comment section. We look forward to hearing from you.

Rate the restaurants

Every restaurant review has a five star rating system at the top. It’s simple to use, just move your mouse over the set of stars and click to cast your rating vote. The more ratings we get from different people, the more accurate our rating system will be, so cast your vote today. The top-rated restaurants are listed in the sidebar on every page on our site.

Submit a review

We are always open to the possibility of bringing more writers onto our team. If you love to eat and love to write, why not submit a review for us to consider? We don’t pay very well (in fact, we don’t pay anything), but hey, we’re not making any money off of this either. We don’t promise that we’ll publish you, but if we do, we’ll put your bio (and a pic if you send us one) on our about us page. This is your chance to make it big! Don’t pass this up.

To increase your chances of getting published, please consider the following guidelines as you are putting your review together:

1. Be authoritative. Our readers need to know why they should listen to you. Write with a tone that convinces us, and them, that you know what you are talking about.
2. Be comprehensive. We like reviews that provide adequate length and comment on the food, the atmosphere, and anything else that is unique and compelling about the restaurant. Take a look around our site to get an idea of the article length we shoot for.
3. Be balanced. Your review will have more credibility if it mentions both positive and negative traits of the restaurant you are covering. Stay constructive, though. No restaurant bashing here.
4. Be unique. Find a unique angle to take with your review. Instead of just covering a restaurant “in general,” find something specific to focus on and let your article develop from there.
5. Be sure we haven’t already reviewed it. Seach our site to make sure we haven’t already published a review about the restaurant you are considering. It is possible we would publish multiple reviews about the same restaurant, but they would have to be very unique from each other, so your chances are better with a place we have yet to write up.

Submit all reviews to reviews[at]eataroundokc[dot]com and please include an exterior photo of the restaurant. Submission indicates your permission for us to publish your review without compensation and to edit it at our discretion.
